In short: the Cappuccino cafe at The Hub in Buckshaw Village is back under new management, with new decor, indoor and outdoor seating, speciality coffee, breakfasts from 7.30am, a new deli counter run by Chef Lorraine, Fish and Chips Fridays and a fully licensed bar.
We are thrilled to tell you that our Cappuccino cafe is back and better than ever. After a refresh under new management, the cafe here at The Hub in Buckshaw Village has a lovely new look, with comfy indoor seating and tables outside for sunnier days. Whether you are calling in for a quick coffee, a leisurely breakfast or lunch with friends, there is a warm welcome waiting.
A fresh new look and a warm welcome
The cafe has been given a full refresh, so it feels brighter and more inviting than ever. You can settle in with a newspaper and a coffee, catch up with friends, or grab something to take away. It is the perfect place to relax before or after a swim at Splash, a treatment at Beauty at The Hub, or dropping the children at our Ofsted Outstanding nursery.
Speciality coffee, teas and hot chocolate
Coffee lovers are well looked after. Choose from freshly made espressos, cappuccinos and mochaccinos, a luxury hot chocolate to warm you up, or a range of teas. It is exactly the kind of coffee stop Buckshaw Village has been missing.
Breakfast, lunch and sweet treats
Breakfast is served from 7.30am, with a full English on the menu for anyone who fancies a proper start to the day. For lunch there are paninis and sandwiches, including a tuna cheese crunch panini and a mighty meaty sandwich, along with fresh salad boxes, soup of the day and jacket potatoes.
If you have a sweet tooth, you will find homemade cakes, flapjacks, brownies, scones and Danish pastries, with gluten free options available too. When the weather is warm, pop over to the Shack for a Fredricks ice cream.
A brand new deli counter with Chef Lorraine
One of the biggest additions is our new deli counter, run by Chef Lorraine, who brings 37 years of catering and hospitality experience. The counter is stocked with freshly prepared meats, cheeses, pasta, rice, vegetables and salads, so you can build the perfect lunch or pick up something delicious to take home.
Fish and Chips Fridays
Every Friday is Fish and Chips Friday at the cafe. Enjoy freshly cooked fish and chips with mushy peas, gravy or curry sauce on the side. There is even a smaller half fish option for children, so the whole family can join in. You can see more on our takeaway menu as well.
A fully licensed bar
The Cappuccino cafe is now fully licensed, so you can enjoy a glass of something with your meal. There is beer, wine and prosecco, plus cocktails, gins and spirits, whether you are celebrating an occasion or simply unwinding at the end of the week.
