Discovering the best nursery experience at Buckshaw Nursery

Choosing the right childcare is one of the biggest decisions a family makes, and it involves weighing up many different considerations. At Buckshaw Village Nursery, part of The Hub at Buckshaw near Chorley, we believe good childcare is far more than simple supervision. We offer a nurturing, stimulating and fun-filled environment, a genuine home from home where every day brings new opportunities to learn and develop.

Why Buckshaw Village Nursery?

Located at the heart of Buckshaw Village, our nursery serves families across Chorley as well as parents commuting to and from work. Being just off the M6 with free parking makes those busy mornings and evenings that little bit easier. Three core strengths sit at the centre of everything we do:

• A trained, committed team who support each child's individual progress and development.
• Learning woven through play, encouraging creativity, curiosity and social skills.
• Thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces that prioritise both safety and exploration.

These strengths are backed by recognition we are proud of. Our setting is rated Ofsted Outstanding across every available area and holds the Millie's Mark accreditation, and we have been caring for local children since 2011.

A day at Buckshaw Village Nursery

Our daily routine balances structure with flexibility, giving children the reassurance of a familiar rhythm alongside the freedom to follow their interests. Children typically begin the day with unstructured play, then move through creative activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, music and movement.

Outdoor exploration receives real emphasis. Time spent outside supports physical development, builds confidence and helps children form a lasting connection with the natural world around them. This blend of play, creativity and fresh air lays a strong foundation for early learning and helps prepare children for the next steps in their education.

Why choosing local matters

There is real value in choosing a nursery rooted in your own community. As a local setting, we offer the personalised attention and familiar faces that much larger, less personal childcare settings often cannot. Parents get to know our team, children build genuine relationships, and the whole family becomes part of the Buckshaw community.

Families join us from across Buckshaw Village, Chorley, Leyland, Euxton, Preston and Whittle-le-Woods. If you would like to see our approach for yourself, you can read more about our preschool in Chorley or get in touch to arrange a visit.
