The Hub Children's Nursery: the best nursery in Chorley

Choosing childcare is one of the most important decisions a family makes. At The Hub Children's Nursery in Buckshaw Village, Chorley, we believe the best nursery is one that keeps children safe, supports every stage of their development and makes learning genuinely fun. Here is what sets our Chorley nursery apart.

Safety and security come first

Everything begins with keeping children safe. Our nursery offers thoughtfully designed spaces that encourage exploration and learning while prioritising safety and security at every turn. Children have the freedom to be curious and adventurous within an environment built around their wellbeing.

A skilled and committed team

The quality of our people matters enormously. Our educators undergo regular professional development training seminars to keep their practice current and grounded in the latest best practice. This ongoing investment in our team means children benefit from attentive, knowledgeable and caring adults every single day.

An individual approach to every child

No two children are the same, so our educational approach treats each child individually, adapting the curriculum to different learning styles and developmental stages. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting the full breadth of early learning, including:

• Personal, social and emotional development.
• Communication and language.
• Physical development.
• Literacy.
• Mathematical development.

A strong sense of community

We place real emphasis on community engagement and warmly encourage parental involvement through regular updates, family events and parent-teacher meetings. Parents are partners in their child's early years, and staying connected helps every child feel settled, supported and understood.

Health and wellness every day

Health and wellness are woven into our daily routines. Children enjoy nutritious meals alongside plenty of outdoor physical activity, helping them build healthy habits, develop physically and connect with the world around them.

Flexible sessions and a convenient location

Family life is busy, so we offer flexible scheduling options, including full-day, part-time and evening sessions, to accommodate varying family needs. Our convenient Chorley location makes drop-off and pick-up straightforward, and being just off the M6 with free parking makes those busy mornings and evenings that little bit easier.

Outstanding by Ofsted, powered by play

Our nursery maintains an Outstanding Ofsted rating, reflecting staff attentiveness, curriculum engagement and a safe environment. Play sits at the heart of it all. Play-based learning is central to early childhood education, enabling children to develop cognitive, social and motor skills in a natural, joyful way.

A trusted local nursery

The Hub is an established, trusted community institution, and parents consistently praise our professionalism and our commitment to children's wellbeing. Families join us from across Buckshaw Village, Chorley, Leyland, Euxton, Preston and Whittle-le-Woods.
