Upper Buckshaw 1 and 2 is where older children get ready for school. In a safe and stimulating environment, they continue to build their skills, explore letters and numbers, and grow the confidence to take their next big step.
Upper Buckshaw 1 and 2 is the pre-school room at our Ofsted Outstanding nursery in Buckshaw Village, Chorley, for children aged around 3 to 5 years. Children continue their learning in a safe and stimulating environment, with a maximum ratio of one qualified member of staff to eight children as they prepare for primary school.
Continuing the journey from Lower Buckshaw
As children move up from Lower Buckshaw, they arrive in Upper Buckshaw ready for the next stage of their learning. Here they continue to build their skills in a safe and stimulating environment, surrounded by familiar faces and the routines they already know and trust.

Moving up a room is a big change, so Upper Buckshaw offers continuous key worker support from the same team who cared for your child in Lower Buckshaw. That familiarity helps children settle quickly and keeps the strong relationships between staff, children and families going.
